ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
Invite Michelle Azar to be the Artist in Residence in your community for a memorable weekend with this multi-talented performing and teaching artist. Michelle’s breadth of expertise as a Drama Therapist intersects with her work as a performer; as published author; as a teacher of Israeli dance, drama, and yoga; and as a senior developer of programming in the Habonim Dror Youth movement. Invite her to your bimah, either to speak on Jewish Identity and the intersection of Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jews in the diaspora, or as a cantorial soloist, where her soulful voice was trained by the late Cantor William Sharlin, of Leo Baeck Temple and Hebrew Union College. She is often heard singing alongside her husband, Rabbi Jonathan Aaron of Temple Emanuel in Beverly Hills. |
After you experience her powerful one-woman show, FROM BAGHDAD TO BROOKLYN, Michelle can teach the process of writing our lives; the process of crafting your personal narrative to connect, and to heal. Michelle can help unlock the unique and intrinsically creative power of inter-generational storytelling through her MANY skills and her wide open heart.
